Kopitiam opened Bagus Food Hall at Northpoint City South Wing on 6 May 2026, a 290-seat, fully halal food court on Level 2 next to Kiddy Palace. Four months on, it is still the cleanest answer in Yishun if you want Thai, dim sum, nasi padang, mala and Korean-Japanese bowls in one MUIS-certified room. The July North dining guide on this site listed Northpoint's basement and Putien. It did not name Bagus. This is that stall walk.
Hours are 9am to 10pm daily. Address: 1 North Point Drive, #02-101/102/103, Northpoint City, Singapore 768019. You can also come up from Level 1 on the escalator beside Hakka Yu. LED lanterns hang over that landing. Interior colours are warm and earthy, Kopitiam says, with lines taken from spices and banana leaves. Eatbook counted 12 stalls. Little Day Out's May walk listed the same core names plus drinks and dessert kiosks. Time Out billed it as Singapore's first elevated fully halal food hall. Kopitiam's first fully halal food court was 1999. The 'elevated' bit is the fit-out and the stall mix, not a new religious standard.
What to order if you only have 20 minutes
Krispi sits beside Sedap Kitchen and does Chinese rou jia mo, billed as Chinese roti. Beef is $5. Chicken is $4.50. Buns are packed the same day. Eatbook flagged a queue at peak. Come before noon or after 2pm. Sedap Kitchen is Kopitiam's tie-up with Java Kitchen. Nasi ambeng and beef rendang sets are the listed signatures, with a lighter padang profile aimed at people who eat this more than once a week. If Chong Pang's Haji Ali is shut for the 14 to 17 September wash, this is the indoor nasi padang fallback inside the mall.
Telur Thai, also written Egg Thai in some round-ups, sources from Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Golden Egg Floss Pad Thai and Golden Egg Floss Tom Yum Soup are $7.90. Thai basil chicken rice with egg is $7.90. Green chicken curry is $6.90. Tang Tea House, the 2005 halal dim sum and tze char brand, puts siew mai, har gao, lo mai gai and bao on the line, plus chicken rice. Monster Chili Mala Xiang Guo has been halal-certified since 2014 and is the spice stall. ANI Yong Tau Foo is the lighter bowl. Pho Viet does beef pho and Hue spicy beef noodles. Ahjuma Korean/Jap Cuisine lists omu rice, ramen and hotplate saba.
The rest of the hall, and who it actually suits
Seabay Delight Mini Wok does fried kway teow. Jiak Pa Pa Ban Mian, founded 2004, sells handmade noodles and a tom yam ban mian built on a family paste recipe. Makan West Hot is individual steamboat. Beridik Western, also listed as Western Boy, does chicken steak aglio olio and fish and chips. The Kiosk at the top of the escalator sells kopi, teh, Yakult juices and breakfast sets, including a $3 union-member breakfast before 11am. Cha Mu Lan X is the bubble tea counter.
This is a mall food hall, not a hawker centre. You pay a little more than Chong Pang or Yishun Park. You get air-con, mixed tables, and a fully halal floor so a group does not have to split between Kopitiam North Wing basement and a non-halal stall. It is useful on weekends when Northpoint is already the family trip, and it is useful on the 14 to 17 September Chong Pang wash. It is less useful if you wanted $3 lontong and a wet-market walk. Take the MRT to Yishun, follow the underpass into North Wing, then cut across to South Wing Level 2. Parking in the mall is tight on Saturday lunch. Weekday 11am is calmer.
Kopitiam still runs the older North Wing food court downstairs. Bagus does not replace that. It is a second, fully halal room with a different stall list. If you already queue at Putien or Haidilao in the same mall, this is the cheaper, faster option for a mixed group that needs halal. If you live in Sembawang or Woodlands, it is a one-train ride. If you live next to Chong Pang, use Bagus when the market is closed, then go back to Chuan Kee when the shutters lift on 18 September.
