Gokoku Japanese Bakery is a Singapore chain that brings the distinctive soft, pillowy texture of Japanese-style bread to local shoppers, with its Northpoint City outlet serving the Yishun community. The bakery is known for its signature shokupan (Japanese milk bread) with its impossibly soft crumb and mild sweetness, alongside a range of filled buns, croissants, and seasonal pastries that blend Japanese precision with local flavour preferences. Items like the kopi bun, red bean bread, and curry buns have become staples for regulars. The bakery produces its items fresh throughout the day, ensuring that the breads retain their signature softness and fragrance. Beyond sweet pastries, Gokoku offers savoury options including sausage rolls, tuna buns, and cutlet sandwiches that work well as quick meals on the go. The self-service format and attractive display make it easy to grab a few items for breakfast, a snack, or a gift, while the consistent quality has earned it a loyal following among Japanese bakery enthusiasts. For anyone who appreciates the uniquely soft, delicate texture of Japanese bread, Gokoku at Northpoint City is a reliable destination. It brings a slice of Japan's baking culture to Yishun with every loaf.

Is been awhile I last visit Gokoku (North point) as I no more taking public transport and NP was not otw. However I work nearby and yesterday 9/6/25 I thought go get some bread for my family. Despite passing by a few bakery, I walk straight to Gokoku. Not to mention that the spread of bread is abundant, what endorse my choice is the willingness of the service staff,JENNY, who is so eager to assist, without hesitation, me on my little request upon payment. **Such customer oriented attitude is a lot to praise, dun mind I say, especially in Singapore. Her JENNY presence will encourage me to walk the extra steps to get breakfast, tea break or even supper from Gokoku despite nearby bakery stores.

These coronets are the best I have ever had. My daughter and I order them by dozens. We like the white cream ones. We haven't tried the chocolate yet. I definitely recommend them.

Wished the tampines outlet was as huge and spacious as this! So pleasant to pick my bread. Shio pan isnt nice as it is. But once toasted, omg it is very good. Chewy, buttery, salty.

I rarely buy and eat buns but surprisingly I find myself coming back to this bakery frequently and regularly. The buns are chewy in texture and the flavours are all quite tasty. Some of the items definitely shrinked in size from the time they opened a few months ago. Nevertheless despite the clear shrinkflation, the large crowd and long queue at this bakery remains unchanged.

Gokoku Japanese Bakery offers delicious jumbo coronets for just $2.20 each, along with a variety of freshly baked bread, buns, and scones. Definitely a must-buy if you're here!
