Heritage Malay snack stall serving steamed rice flour putu piring with sweet coconut filling.

Haig Road Putu Piring is a heritage Malay snack brand renowned for its steamed putu piring — delicate rice flour discs filled with melted gula Melaka (palm sugar) and topped with freshly grated coconut. Originating from the famous Haig Road stall that has been serving this traditional kueh for generations, the brand brings one of Singapore's most beloved Malay snacks to the North, allowing residents to enjoy this iconic treat without travelling to the original location. Each putu piring is made fresh by steaming the rice flour batter in special moulds with a core of grated coconut and gula Melaka, producing a soft, pillowy disc that releases a flow of sweet, fragrant palm sugar when bitten into. The snack is best eaten warm, when the gula Melaka is still molten and the coconut is fragrant, and the stall typically sells them in sets of four or five, making them perfect for sharing or as an after-meal sweet. For a taste of one of Singapore's most iconic Malay kueh, Haig Road Putu Piring delivers heritage in every bite. Grab a set while they are warm — these little discs of joy disappear fast.

Super expensive at $4.50 for 4pieces of durian. I redeem some lazada flash deal voucher which made it $2.50. else I would Not have gotten it. What's more weird is that I've bought the same durian one a year ago and the quality is as bad. The pastry skin will all lump together and the durian filling will leak out even before you start to eat. So it's not four pieces. Its more like one huge mushy thingy. Taste wise is pretty decent but like how u expect me to eat this without making a mess man. Last time pasar malam one so much better. Cheap and good

Definitely among the best in the peninsula, The gula Melaka texture is well done, lots of coconut shredded adequately salted, the rice is fine texture good even after 1 hour sitting in take away box. Those of who tapau and not immediately eating, do leave the box open to prevent moisture collecting.

One of the places where you can find the uncommon food choice. This is definitely the place to go for your cravings. We kinda give this place 4 stars as we find the taste is not that consistent and is just slightly above average. Out of our 10 score rating, this is about 8-8.5 score. There are actually better putu piring but then again, its just our preference, as everyone has a different palate. This place is not exactly in the mall, as south wing shops/stalls/booth are located on a wider area of left and right path towards the mrt. Similar to those 'link paths' with shops left and right. This shop is located without any tables and chairs as it is a takeout restaurant. The packaging is in fact modern, despite d name traditional... But lets not be too quick to judge.. The current paper box containing the putu piring keep them warmer and longer compared to the older paper wraps. So.. Its better aint it.. ? Would we come back here again? Hmm.. Maybe if we are around area 😁.

Honestly not the best but enough to satisfy a putu piring craving- open the lid as soon as you can to prevent condensation, as there is a high chance the putu piring will stick together and crumble..

Got my @haigroadputupiring putu piring that's make on spot and is piping hot, soft, fluffy with gula melaka filling and topped with generous amount of shaved coconut that just melted in my mouth. These babies are so light and fluffy that it crumbles at a touch and taste heavenly Ig: @zoey_belle_
