Legendary Tiong Bahru chwee kueh stall at Causeway Point with silky rice cakes and savoury chye poh.

Jian Bo Shui Kueh is a celebrated chwee kueh institution originating from Tiong Bahru Market, now with an outlet at Causeway Point bringing its famed steamed rice cakes to the Woodlands crowd. Each silky, delicate kueh is topped with fragrant fried chye poh (preserved radish) and a kick of chilli, delivering a simple yet deeply satisfying bite that has earned the stall a devoted following for decades. Alongside the classic original flavour, Jian Bo has introduced creative variations such as its mala shui kueh for those who enjoy a spicy twist. The Causeway Point kiosk operates on a walk-in basis, perfect for a quick breakfast or snack, and the generous portions at affordable prices make it a favourite with families and food enthusiasts alike. Few dishes capture the essence of Singapore's hawker heritage quite like chwee kueh, and few do it better than Jian Bo. Drop by the Causeway Point stall and taste the tradition that has made this brand a household name across the island.

If you want to buy breakfast before going to work like me, then you better don’t go down to downstairs this outlet. As the staff will tell you “沒那麼快”, then she only attend to you once she finish her “own things”. If dun want to do business then can just swift off all the light.

The glutinous rice not fresh and don’t smell nice but still selling. After eating I ran to toilet immediately! Please don’t sell anymore! Shui Kuei is very nice though.

It's a known fact for years since I was a young girl in 80s that Jian Bo chwee kueh is famous cos of its delicious chye bo besides the kueh. …

Not sure if the staff was not well trained or forgetfulness led to this, but we got chee cheong fan here twice in a row, only to discover that they did not packed the siew mai that was indicated in the menu set which we ordered. TWICE. Just a reminder to check your food before you head off, otherwise it is not recommended to visit.
