Heritage Cantonese bakery since 1935 at Northpoint City famed for mooncakes and traditional pastries.
Tai Chong Kok is a time-honoured Cantonese bakery that has been operating since 1935, with an outlet at Northpoint City in Yishun carrying on nearly nine decades of tradition in premium mooncakes and authentic Cantonese pastries. The bakery is renowned for making its own fresh lotus paste by hand using 100 per cent pure lotus seeds with no preservatives, and its mooncakes are still formed in the same traditional wooden moulds used at the original Sago Street shop in Chinatown over 80 years ago — a heritage touch that includes packaging in stringed brown paper bags just as in pre-war Singapore. Beyond its celebrated mooncakes, Tai Chong Kok offers Chinese wedding cakes, soft flour cakes and a wide variety of traditional Cantonese confections that appeal to both older generations nostalgic for the flavours of their youth and younger customers discovering these time-tested recipes. The Northpoint City outlet operates daily from 10am to 9.30pm, making it convenient for Yishun residents to pick up pastries for everyday enjoyment or special occasions. With over 85 years of baking heritage behind it, Tai Chong Kok is a living piece of Singapore's culinary history. Visit the Northpoint City outlet and taste the tradition that has made this Chinatown institution a beloved name across generations.Based on 13 Google reviews

Staff did not coordinate the order which has been paid for weeks ago properly. Staff searched for my order chit and packed frantically. Standards have also dropped. Banana leave stuck between the kueh. Not done properly. The edge is filled to make it look full. But middle part is not filled to the brim.
