Nasi padang catering and hearty Malay home-style dishes at Junction Nine.
Wak Min Food And Catering at Junction Nine offers nasi padang and Malay home-style dishes, doubling as a food stall and a catering service for events and gatherings. The spread includes staples like rendang, sambal goreng, ayam masak merah, and lodeh, each dish prepared with the careful seasoning of home cooking. Diners can build their plate by pointing at the day''s offerings, and the flavours tend towards the comforting and familiar rather than the aggressively spicy. Whether you are grabbing a weekday lunch or ordering catered trays for a celebration, Wak Min brings reliable Malay cuisine to the Yishun neighbourhood.
Their food is consistently super spicy. I love spicy stuff but their spice level is not favorable. For example, squid ink sotong is very spicy. Not as kid friendly as I would expect from a neighborhood eatery.
They do have a wide range in regards to their menu. However they lack in the amount of essential ingredients used for every dish. We don’t mind the prices. I do understand if prices of resources have gone up, but why discount customers of the quality of food.
I do hope they can improve the quality of food and don’t make customers eat with regret.
Yes, I did not confront the owners as I feel they should fine tune their overall food quality towards the general crowd and the families with small children residing in the nearby BTOs who look forward to a pleasant, comforting meal.

Overcharged. Nasi Padang cost me $9 with one chicken egg and vege. Not recommended anyone to go here. I hope in future if any victims eat this please get receipt from them and complaint them to consumer association.
