World's largest mala tang chain offering pick-and-cook spicy soup at Northpoint City.
Yang Guo Fu Mala Tang at Northpoint City is the Singapore outpost of the world's largest mala tang chain, bringing its signature pick-and-cook concept to Yishun. Originating from China, the brand has expanded rapidly across Singapore with multiple outlets, drawn by the island's love for all things mala. Diners select their ingredients from a refrigerated display — vegetables, mushrooms, meats, noodles, and more — which are then cooked in a rich, aromatic mala broth that balances numbing Sichuan peppercorns with deep, savoury heat. The menu allows for extensive customisation, with options to adjust spice levels and choose from various broth bases. The North Wing basement outlet offers both dine-in and takeaway, and delivery is available via foodpanda and other platforms. It suits mala enthusiasts who prefer the soup-based mala tang over the dry-style xiang guo, as well as anyone looking for a warming, hearty, and customisable meal. For mala tang from the world's biggest name in the game, Yang Guo Fu delivers. Head to Northpoint City and build your own bowl of spicy, soupy satisfaction.

Ordered take away, paid $21.70 for my meal. When I got home, realised a couple of items I ordered were not inside. Did they forget to include or is this a common practice by vendors these days to save costs?? Tried to look for a number to call them but guess what, there is no valid number to call! How convenient! Never visiting again.

Just went on the grab app to read the reviews for this merchant and noticed that this is a recurring issue with other customers too. I am not the only one who got 1/3 portion of soup for my order. The soup does not cover the ingredients and no there was no spillage.
Disappointing to know that you don't get the amount you paid for. This is the second time in a month. Never ordering food delivery or take away from here again.
I suggest y'all do something about it. This is not worth $20.

My to go lunch. For sure better than some Alphacca logo Malatang. They have very nice beef bone soup with alright spiciness. Perhaps their level of spiciness are to match to SG standard but if you don't feel its spicy enough, they have chilli for u to add on.
Their coriander and spring onions are free to so feel free to fill up the bowl with it.
Price depends on your pick so it can range from 10-20+ per person.

This is a very nice restaurant. The food choices is vast and the mala tang and chicken soup is both very delicious. There is a lot a lot of free sauces and spices that you can mix on your own. U will be given a number after ordering, then simply collect your order when the number rings. Absolutely worth it!

The beef broth has a strong gamey smell that I don't quite like. It tastes like mutton to me. I tried it once and I've never ordered it again The dry mala version and the tomato soup are a lot more palatable to me.
There is a good variety of food items to choose from. Some meat, some vegetables, so tofu, some noodles and of course lots of processed food.

In wooden trays surrounding the plate, there are fresh cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, and processed seafood products like fish cakes and fish balls. A pair of chopsticks is shown lifting a slice of lotus root, with sauce dripping onto the dish. The background is a vibrant red.
