Zhang Liang Mala Tang is a globally recognised mala tang chain with an outlet at Causeway Point, offering customisable bowls of Sichuan-style mala soup where diners pick their own ingredients and have them cooked in a rich, numbing-and-spicy broth. The brand is one of the largest mala tang chains in China, known for its signature bone broth base infused with dozens of herbs and spices that delivers the distinctive ma (numbing) and la (spicy) sensation that mala lovers crave. The ordering process is simple and interactive — pick your ingredients from a cold display of vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, meatballs, noodles and proteins, hand your basket to the staff, and they cook everything in the signature broth before serving it piping hot. The Causeway Point outlet caters to spice enthusiasts and newcomers alike, with adjustable spice levels so you can dial the heat up or down depending on your tolerance, making it a flexible option for both hardcore mala fans and curious first-timers. Ordered delivery with chicken and they replaced it with pork belly... without asking me and ruin the whole dish. How can you do that? Do you know there are people who can't take pork? Or people who choose not to add pork due to the smell. This is completely unacceptable. If you don't have chicken, then leave it... why try to act smart and replace it with a different meat... Well deserved 1-star. This is coming from a customer who've ordered more than 10 times from your restaurant.

Need to try the classic mala tang that comes with sesame sauce (麻酱), super good and it’s what I’ve been looking for all these while! Many options to pick for the food too! Glad that we have one outlet so near to where I stay:)

First time trying their mala.. Had their dried version today. They had a wide selection of ingredients that u can choose from. The prices for meat, seafood and vegetables are all the same. The food was served quite fast after payment. Will be back to try their soup version soon 😀😀😀 …

The different flavour of soup have their own uniqueness each, all tasted well. Stir fried mala is on the spicier side compared to typical elsewhere. They have self service free condiments which is a plus. You can choose meat or vege they just weigh overall together, minimum 300g required.
